My First Find

WELCOME TO LIFE IS ROCKY!

This blog is meant to spread the happy, the love, the kindness, adding smiles to faces when you find our rocks. First just a bit about how Life is Rocky came about.
About a year ago our friend Logan came over excited about finding a painted rock with a funny face on it. The back had a tag on it where you are suppose to take a photo of it, rehide it and continue the treasure hunt for someone else. He stated that he had found it in front of the Wall-Mart in Mesa, AZ. I thought it was a cute idea but at the time didn’t really think twice of it.

Fast forward a year or so to just a few weeks back. My husband and I decided to go on what I call an “extreme date night” to the Reggae Fest 2018 up in Campe Verde, AZ at Cliff Castle Casino. My husbands coworker is in a reggae band and they were playing up there so we decided to make it an overnight trip for the two of us.

We were staying at the Comfort in not far from the concert and decided to go to the grocery store before the concert to get some snacks and water for overnight. Upon exiting the grocery store is when I saw them. Two painted rocks on a curb in the parking lot! I immediately knew what they were and ran from my husband to the curb to collect my treasures. These were my very own finds and I couldn’t wait to see what was on them!

Turns out it was a daughter and tween who put them there. You can read about their adventures at www.travelingwithmytween.com. Such a fun, inspiring journey they are on!

Needless to say, it has in turn inspired me to get back to blogging and paint as many rocks as I can. And so this adventure begins.

I hope you have found one of our rocks. I hope that you will log a photo of the rock and where you found it so that I can tell you where it was originally hidden.

I hope you will pass it on and Spread the Happy!
